Booking the Sacred Valley for tomorrow in high season: how to secure space from June to August

In high season the departures fill earlier, but the rule does not change: you can book until 8 pm for tomorrow, at the same price. What changes is when it pays to ask: in the morning, not at 7 pm. If one departure is full, there is almost always room on the other route at the same departure time, and as a last resort we add a second bus with licensed colleagues.
Today you can book until 8 pm to leave tomorrow; in high season, the earlier you ask, the more options you have.—Is there space tomorrow?

When high season is in the valley

JuneThe busiest month: Inti Raymi (24 June) and the Cusco festivities bring thousands of visitors and the valley sites are shared with them. Ask about space in the morning.
July and AugustNorthern hemisphere holidays and clear skies: steady demand all week. The Peruvian long weekends (28 and 29 July) add domestic travelers.
Easter week and long weekendsShort peaks of two to four days when the departures returning to Cusco fill up first.
The rest of the yearThere is usually room until the afternoon; from November to March, smaller groups.

How to secure your seat for tomorrow

Ask in the morning

Availability for tomorrow is decided during the day. A message at 10 am has all four departures open; at 7 pm, maybe two.

Give your second choice

“Express or, failing that, Classic”. If your first choice is full we confirm the other in the same message and you do not lose the afternoon.

Pay as soon as we confirm

Space confirmed on WhatsApp holds for a reasonable while, but it is not locked without payment. The WeTravel link takes two minutes.

What happens if a departure is full

We tell you with a yes or a noNever a “probably”. The person who answers is the one who closes the bus list.
We offer you the other route at the same timeThe Express and the Classic leave 60 minutes apart and return 30 apart; for most travelers the day works out the same.
Or the same route ending in OllantaytamboIf you are sleeping in the valley or carrying on by train, finishing at 3:30 pm may be even better.
At peak times, a second busWe add vehicles and guides from licensed colleagues in Cusco, under our coordination and our responsibility. Same price, same lunch.
And if there really is no roomWe tell you before you pay, and suggest the day after tomorrow. We do not sell what we cannot run.

The price does not go up in high season

US$32 for the Express, US$30 for the Classic and US$1 less ending in Ollantaytambo, in June and in November, today and a month ahead. We do not apply a season fare or a last-minute surcharge. What does change in July is the Tourist Ticket queue at Pisac and the crowd at the Maras viewpoint: that is why the Express starts early.

Four tips for July

  • If your date is fixed (a flight, a train), book ahead even though this website is built for tomorrow: the price is the same.
  • If you can choose, the Classic usually has more late availability than the Express in high season.
  • Bring a proper coat: from June to August it is below freezing at dawn in Chinchero even when it is sunny at midday.
  • The Pisac market and the Chinchero textile center are open daily; on Sundays there are more stalls and more people.

Bookings for tomorrow: non-refundable; you can move the date if there is space, and we reschedule or refund if we cancel because of the weather.

Yes, until 8 pm and at the same price; but ask about space as early as you can and give a second route option. On 24 June the center of Cusco has road closures: the time and pickup point may change and we tell you the night before.

Informally, yes: if a departure is full and that is the only one you want, we message you on WhatsApp as soon as a seat frees up before 8 pm. With no guarantee and no charge until the space exists.

No: the maximum is still 17–18 per bus. When demand is higher, more buses run; the buses do not get fuller.

The Tourist Ticket and the Maras entrance are bought on the day; in high season there is a queue, not a sell-out. The guide handles it while the group waits.

If there are 8 or more of you, always; with fewer, the shared tour has space most days. The private tour for tomorrow is also confirmed on WhatsApp and depends on a vehicle and guide being free.

You choose between a new date or a full refund, including on bookings for tomorrow. Road blockades are the most common cause of force-majeure cancellation in the region.
